Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Later, he shall transfer you to check-in and relax at hotel while waiting for your results. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a short city orientation or rest for the journey ahead.

After breakfast, transfer to Akagera National Park for a game drive on which you watch many wildlife animals i.e elephants, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Visit the Nyarubuye Genocide Memorial for a cultural and historical experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema watching hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Enjoy Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.

Breakfast then transfer on an early morning game drive in Akagera watching many wildlife animals, predators and early grazers. Afterwards, you shall drive back to Kigali for a period of about 4 hours. You shall reach in the afternoon and relax at your hotel or explore Kigali city. Overnight in Kigali.

Depart Kigali and drive south through scenic tea and coffee plantations toward Nyungwe Forest National Park region. En route visit Murambi Genocide Museum, Butare National Museum and Nyanza Royal Palace. Continue to Rusizi border and cross into Democratic Republic of the Congo. You shall reach Bukavu after a long 8u20139 hours drive and proceed to check-in lodge/ hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Early morning breakfast then transfer to the vast Kahuzi-Biega National Park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Eastern Lowland Gorillas then later you shall be located into groups of 8 with lead park rangers who transfer you into the forest in groups of 8. You traverse from one point to another in the green forest until you meet the Gorillas and in a period of one hour, stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to the vast Virunga National Park by road and speed boat (daytime travel for safety). Arrive in Goma region and check into your lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Early Morning Breakfast then transfer to the Park Headquarters for precise briefing offered by rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family and guided on trekking rules, safety procedures and conservation guidelines before entering the forest. You begin your trek into the dense rainforest of Virunga, home to critically endangered mountain gorillas. The hike takes a period of 1 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, you are allowed one magical hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Watch the dominant silverbacks monitoring the group, Mothers nursing and caring for infants, Young gorillas playing, climbing, and interacting, Feeding and grooming behaviors within the troop.rnrnAfter the trek, you return to the park headquarters where you receive a trekking certificate. You shall then head back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you visit the Senkwekwe Gorilla Orphanage Center known as a gorilla orphanage for Gorillas in the world. This conservation facility rescues and cares for gorillas that have been orphaned due to poaching, conflict, or illegal wildlife trade. You learn about Gorilla rescue and rehabilitation programs, Conservation challenges in the region, Efforts to rewild and protect endangered Gorillas.

Today begins an early and demanding ascent of Mount Nyiragongo, one of Africau2019s most dramatic volcanoes located within Virunga National Park. After breakfast, you transfer to the trailhead for a safety briefing with park rangers and mountain guides.rnrnThe hike starts through dense rainforest before transitioning into rocky volcanic terrain as altitude increases. The climb typically takes 5u20137 hours depending on fitness level and weather conditions. Along the way, you may encounter unique flora, birds, and breathtaking views over the surrounding volcanic landscapes.rnrnUpon reaching the summit, you settle into basic crater rim shelters. From here, you may witness the glowing lava lake activity (when active) or observe the vast volcanic crater under changing light conditions. Dinner is served at the summit shelters, followed by an overnight stay in very simple but unforgettable mountain accommodation.

Early in the morning, you descend from Mount Nyiragongo, carefully trekking back down the steep volcanic slopes with ranger assistance. The descent takes approximately 3u20135 hours.rnrnAfter reaching the base, you transfer to Tchegera Island via boat on Lake Kivu. The island is a peaceful volcanic caldera island known for its stunning views, birdlife, and tranquil environment.rnrnThe rest of the day is spent relaxingu2014enjoying the calm waters of Lake Kivu, photography, or simply resting after the volcano hike. After breakfast on Tchegera Island, you return to Goma mainland and visit the Goma Volcano Observatory, where you learn about volcanic monitoring, seismic activity, and the geological history of the region.rnrnLater, you transfer to the Bunagana border and cross into Uganda. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you check in at Gorilla Mist Camp and spend the rest of the day relaxing in preparation for the next dayu2019s gorilla trekking experience. Early in the morning, you head into Bwindi for a guided gorilla trekking experience in the Ruhija sector. After a ranger briefing, you begin the trek through dense forest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family. The hike may take several hours depending on their movement.rnrnOnce located, you spend one hour observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitatu2014watching their behavior, interactions, and family dynamics.rnrnAfter the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch and then begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive includes a scenic route through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. You continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Lodge.

You explore open savannahs and crater-dotted landscapes in search of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and a variety of bird species.rnrnIn the afternoon, you enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The cruise offers close-up sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants drinking at the shores, and abundant birdlife such as kingfishers and fish eagles.
